I keep forgetting it’s winter. Do those tractors at least have cabin heaters so you don't freeze to death while driving?

The Zetor does (though the 4.2l diesel 4cyl takes a while to warm up) , but the little ford does not have a heater. However as a mechanically injected IDI engine the fuel gets recirculated in the tank and warms up from engine heat. The fuel tank is actually just in front of the steering column, and sort of acts as the fire wall... It also, eventually, radiates heat into the cab.

How are you two kids making out after the pen/barn disaster? Guessing you got things sorted out before cold weather.

Is that a block heater or just a charger for the battery on that extension cable? i guess the last, since the first wouldn’t make it cold start :D

We were unable to get the new ends on before the weather got super cold, primarily bec au se it took four weeks to get the replacement end panels, which are built to order.. . We are building temporary wind brakes with round bales for the sheep to shelter behind. We’ll be investing in some pretty serious re-engineering of the ends this coming spring/summer.

I imagine this has been a learning experience you don’t plan to underbuild after. Hope the Spring goes well for you.
